Hydrochloric Acid 15% is a colorless or slightly yellow, fuming liquid with a pungent odor. It is a strong and highly corrosive acid and is soluble in water, alcohol, and benzene. This is an industrial-grade product diluted to 15% concentration. This product is available in stronger and weaker concentrations; see Hydrochloric Acid 32% or Hydrochloric Acid 10%.

Hydrochloric Acid applications include: Acidizing (activation) of petroleum wells, boiler scale removal, chemical intermediate, ore reduction, pickling and metal cleaning, industrial acidizing, general cleaning (e.g. of membrane in desalination plants), pressure washing new brick or concrete, alcohol denaturant, laboratory reagent.
This product causes severe skin burns and eye damage and may cause respiratory irritation. Wear protective gloves, protective clothing, eye protection, and face protection. Wash face, hands, and any exposed skin thoroughly after handling. Do not breathe vapors. Do not eat, drink, or smoke while using this product. Use only outdoors or in a well-ventilated area, and keep only in the original container. Get medical attention immediately if in contact with skin or eyes. If mixing this product with water: Never add water to the acid, always add the acid to the water. If possible, add below the surface of the water.
