Sodium Bisulfate is included in the class of chemical compounds known as acid salts. During its production, Sodium Bisulfate retains one of the hydrogen ions from a raw material, sulfuric acid, thereby giving it acidic properties. It is this acid quality that classifies Sodium Bisulfate as a general commodity acid for industrial uses. At the same time, it is a specialty acid in some applications because of its purity characteristics. This small globular white bead is readily soluble in water and generally used to adjust pH in most applications.
Technical grade Sodium Bisulfate is a dry acid, which is readily soluble in water. Applications include reducing pH in pool, spas, water treatment systems, as an acid using in metal finishing and as an ingredient in acidic cleaning formulations.
Please see Sodium Bisulfate Safety Data Sheet for full safety and compatibility information.
