This product appears as a colorless liquid with a pungent odor. It is an ether-ester solvent that is slightly soluble in water. It offers slow evaporation, fast solvent release, low surface tension, low toxicity, high boiling range, high autoignition temperature, and low color.

Applications of this solvent include: paints, automotive, general industrial coatings, coil coatings, maintenance coatings, furniture lacquers, plastic coatings, marine coatings, aerospace, appliance topcoats and primers, aerospace topcoats and primers, high solids baking enamels, and air-dry lacquers.

The liquid and vapor of this product are flammable. Keep away from heat, sparks, open flames, and hot surfaces. Protect from direct sunlight. Keep the container tightly closed. Ground and bond container and receiving equipment. Use explosion-proof electrical/ ventilating/ lighting/ equipment and use only non-sparking tools. Take precautionary measures against static discharge. Wear protective gloves, protective clothing, eye protection, and face protection. Use only in a well-ventilated area. Avoid contact with eyes, skin, and clothing. Wash thoroughly after handling. Wash hands before eating. Remove contaminated clothing and wash hands before reuse. Always open containers slowly to allow any excess pressure to vent. Avoid breathing vapor, fumes, or mist. Potential peroxide former. After opening, purge the container with nitrogen before reclosing. If peroxide formation is expected, do not open or move the container. Do not allow to evaporate to near dryness.
