A Note On Materials

A competent graphic designer or printer will greatly assist in planning and recommending specific products and materials such as paper stocks and finishes. These persons are working with products like these on a daily bases and can save you valuable time and money. Photography for reproduction should be sharp and feature good contrast and coloration. Ask printers for pre press proofs and carefully examine type and image quality to prevent unfortunate and image degrading errors. Avoid full bleeds unless they are critical to the effectiveness of the design, as they are more costly and create excess waste material. Design must be convincing as well as attractive. Keep in mind that the quality of the materials you select will reflect the quality of your firm.
