Boric Acid Granular applications include: Manufacture of textile fiberglass, porcelain enamels, metallurgy (welding flux, brazing copper), flame retardant in cellulosic insulation, mattress batting and cotton textile products, curing of animal hides, fungus control on citrus fruits, nickel electroplating baths, wood preservation, insecticide, pH buffer, neutron absorber, agriculture, or precursor to other boron compounds.
Use caution when handling/transferring. Do not get in the eyes, on the skin, or on clothing. Do not taste or swallow. Avoid breathing dust. Use only with adequate ventilation. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment. Transfer and storage systems should be compatible. Observe good industrial hygiene practices. Keep the container tightly closed.
