Sulfamic Acid may be used as a cleaning and descaling agent for metal and ceramics (pure or may be a component of a mixture), as a replacement for hydrochloric acid in removing rust and limescale, for cleaning industrial dairy equipment, as a chloride stabilizer in the pulp and paper industry, as an herbicide, for dye or pigment manufacturing, in electroplating, as a bleaching agent, as a sulfonating agent, for stabilizing chlorine in pools, etc.
