For closed-loop Geothermal Systems, Alcohol-based Geothermal Fluids offer better heat transfer characteristics and less issues with viscosity in cold temperatures (when compared to glycols). Alcohol-based Geothermal Fluids are primarily used in closed-loop systems due to the potential for product evaporation.

ExoEndosol® is an Ethanol-based Geothermal Heat Transfer Fluid that contains corrosion inhibitors to protect both ferrous and nonferrous metals from corrosion.
Long Life Expectancy & Low Maintenance
Systems containing alcohols such as Ethanol are not subject to bio-fouling, and do not require maintenance of Reserve Alkalinity.
Industry Leading Inhibitors
Our Alcohol-based Geothermal Fluids contain corrosion inhibitors that have been proven to outperform other widely used brands. In this test, a three-year comparison was made between ExoEndosol (blue) and a commonly used Ethanol-based fluid on the market today. A nail was used to test the effectiveness of the corrosion inhibitors.
