Sodium Tetraborate applications include: porcelain enamel, detergents, photography, paint, cosmetics, enamel glazes, heat-resistant glass, bleaches, laboratory reagent, fertilizers’ leather. This product may be used to treat wood to inhibit the growth of fungi and help protect wood products from pests. It may be used to make ultra-high strength steel that is harder and lighter and less vulnerable to corrosion. It helps create glazes and enamels that are more robust in the production of ceramic frits, for longer-lasting roofs, tiles, etc. It is used as a flux for soldering and welding.

Use caution when handling or transferring. Do not get in eyes, on skin, or on clothing. Do not taste or swallow. Causes severe eye irritation. Use only with adequate ventilation. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment. Wash face, hands, and any exposed skin thoroughly after handling. Transfer and storage systems should be compatible. Observe good industrial hygiene practices. Keep container tightly closed. Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place.
