COREFROST™ ALV Low Viscosity Heat Transfer Fluid has been specially formulated using Kilfrost patented technology. Glycerin-based, this fluid has been modified to maintain low viscosity, even in freezing temperatures, setting itself apart from more widely known glycol-based fluids. This product is available at 100% concentration.
COREFROST™ ALV Low Viscosity Heat Transfer Fluid is used as a heat transfer fluid in low-temperature closed-loop hydronic applications, including geothermal (geo-exchange) ground loops, air-to-water heat pumps, commercial chillers, industrial refrigeration, and snow melt systems. It is also available as NSF HT1 rated for incidental food contact. It is especially formulated for use in freezing temperatures or anywhere viscosity may be a concern. At lower temperatures, glycol will become more viscous and tend towards laminar flow, resulting in additional pumping load and loss of heat transfer efficiency.
