Hydrogen Peroxide 28% appears as a colorless liquid. It is a strong oxidant, bleaching agent, and antiseptic. Exposure to heat or light will speed decomposition. This product is available in stronger and weaker concentrations, from 3% – 50%.
Hydrogen Peroxide 28% is available in cases, carboys, drums, totes, and bulk.
This product is regulated and available for business-to-business sale only.
Hydrogen Peroxide applications include: Bleaching and deodorizing of textiles, wood pulp, hair, fur, etc.; source of organic and inorganic peroxides; pulp and paper industry; plasticizers; rocket fuel; foam rubber; manufacture of glycerol; antichlor; dyeing; electroplating; antiseptic; viscosity control for starch and cellulose derivatives; refining and cleaning metals; substitute for chlorine in water and sewage treatment.
This product is a strong oxidant. Keep away from heat, sparks, open flames, and hot surfaces. Store away from clothing and combustible materials. Take precautions to avoid mixing with combustibles. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment when using. Use only in well-ventilated areas. Wash face, hands, and any exposed skin thoroughly after handling. Never return unused Hydrogen Peroxide to the original container. Contamination may cause decomposition and generation of oxygen gas which could result in high pressures and possible container rupture. Hydrogen Peroxide should be stored only in vented containers and transferred only in a prescribed manner. Empty drums should be triple rinsed with water before discarding.
