It is used in the manufacture of cottage cheese, processed cheese, fats, shortenings, pH control, in the manufacturing of imitation Jellies, as a nutrient in the production of yeast, in the control of bacteria growth in processed foods, as a flocculation agent for clarification of sugar juices after timing process, in the manufacture of phosphate salts, and for drinking water corrosion control and lead and copper control.
