Propylene Glycol USP/K Grade appears as a clear liquid and has a characteristic glycol odor. This product is certified Kosher & Pareve. Propylene Glycol is hygroscopic and water-soluble, with a medium viscosity, low vapor pressure, and low toxicity.

This product may be used in the production of food as a humectant, emulsifier, and preservative, and as a solvent and carrier for flavors and colors. It also may be used as a solvent in the manufacturing of many pharmaceuticals, including oral, injectable and topical formulations, dentifrices, and other personal care applications. It may be used in liquid detergents. Propylene Glycol is often used for freeze protection purposes.

Use caution when handling or transferring. Do not get in eyes, on skin, or on clothing. Do not taste or swallow. Do not breathe mist or vapor. Use only with adequate ventilation. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment. Transfer and storage systems should be compatible. Observe good industrial hygiene practices. Keep the container tightly closed. Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place. Store away from incompatible materials. Ensure that all local regulations regarding handling and storage facilities are followed. Routinely wash work clothing and protective equipment to remove contaminants. Wash hands before breaks and immediately after handling the product.
