Caustic Soda (Sodium Hydroxide) Membrane Grade may be specified for use in applications that require a higher purity product.

This chemical is very corrosive to all body tissue. Personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn at all times while handling. Product should be handled near eyewash fountains and chemical showers or other sources of running water in case of emergency. In the event of inhalation, skin contact, eye contact or ingestion, seek medical attention immediately. In the event of skin or eye contact, immediately remove clothing/contact lenses and flush with plenty of water for at least 15 – 20 minutes. Use caution when combining caustic with water. To minimize heat generation, DO NOT add water to caustic. ALWAYS add caustic to water while stirring. Please see Sodium Hydroxide Safety Data Sheet for full safety and compatibility information.
