This product is primarily used in large industry, in the manufacture of chemicals, fertilizers, soaps and glass. It is used as a drying agent, removes water from the air, and is used to reduce acidity. It is an ingredient in many formulations for consumer use like disinfectants, ink and toners, paints, and cleaning products.
