Tacos & Tennessee Music? It Must Be… 2026 Team Day!

“2025 was… if not the most fun year, close to it…”

Wesley Sherrod, CEO

With a year of significant – fun! – and growth behind us, and new year full of exciting plans & goals ahead of us, the CORECHEM team had a lot to celebrate, as we came together on the 14th of January for our 2026 Kickoff Team Day.

We gathered first for our ‘Year in Review – 2025’ – the team wearing matching, gray “Team Day” shirts (thanks to Marci Miller – and we’re thrilled to have you back on the team!!).

After we finished, everyone lined up for the Good Hombres Food Truck outside, for some authentic Mexi-Can (not Mexi-Can’t!), where we were presented with a choice of Gringa Tacos, Quesadillas, or Mexi-Tacos– plus a side of Beans & Rice, or Chips & Salsa! Yum!

After lunch, we went over those exciting, aforementioned plans & goals for 2026! – and then, all participated in a fun team activity.

Can you guess…??… what your coworkers looked like as babies??? Neither could most of us!! Everyone had a laugh, as we teamed up into the Red Team, Green Team, and the Blue Team; and tried to guess baby pictures of our coworkers. The rule was, if you knew the answer… (if it was You…!) …you weren’t allowed to help!

As we got started on the games, our own Terry Myers had brought his banjo, and pulled it out to give us a few tunes. His repertoire included some Tennessee classics, like Rocky Top. We were so impressed! Talent like his doesn’t come along every day!!

The 865 Axe Throwing truck was back for Round 2, and our Operations Manager, Trey Simmons, carried the honors! (He may be a professional on the floor, but wait ’til he gets competitive…!)

Additionally, there was a giant Jenga game… that some team members were Wayyyyy too good at (looking at You, Sherry Diaz and Olivia Frederick!!).… and rounds of cornhole.

Whew!! What a day! Thanks to everyone who worked to bring it together, and cheers to the year ahead!

Customers, we can’t wait to serve you in 2026!
