CORECHEM is excited to announce the launch of our new podcast: CORECHEM Breaks it Down! We’re looking forward to bringing you fresh content on a regular basis, featuring team members from many departments in the company, with plans to cover a wide variety of subjects. Our goal is to provide ‘Straight Talk for Serious Buyers’ (…like you!). The podcast will be published to our YouTube channel, and featured throughout our other content, such as on our blog (like this), and via social media channels.
Our first episode gives us a glimpse into, what happens… Behind the Scenes… at CORECHEM. Do we ever make mistakes? How do we operate? Do we play favorites? (Hint: No! Of course not! That would not be trustworthy!) Enjoy hearing about all this, and more, from our Operations Manager, Trey Simmons.
Thanks to Trey for being our first guest… and be on the lookout for our next episode, coming soon, where we’ll (hint!) hear about water quality, from the one and only, Jake Ward.
Written by: This episode’s podcast host, Renae Holt.
Introducing Trey, our Operations Manager
Our Operations segment is comprised of five departments: Production, Warehouse, Logistics, Supply Chain, and Customer Service. We’ve been growing fast… but right now that’s a total of about 40 employees! Trey meets with the department managers each morning to strategize and make a plan for the day. Many employees may be cross-trained to do different jobs, if a situation comes up where flexibility would be needed.
So… What Happens Behind the Scenes at CORECHEM?
Yes, I know a little bit about what happens ‘behind the scenes at CORECHEM’… but… I’m not in our Operations Department, on the floor every day, the way Trey is!
As someone who works in Marketing, I know that nobody puts the bad points, or the problems, or the mistakes, on the front page of their website! …At the same time, nobody’s perfect.
…so I asked Trey to go into a little bit more detail about what happens when we do make mistakes here at CORECHEM. Our strategy is to do our best to communicate, as he says, “early and often”, if anything comes up that would affect the customer- quality-wise, lead time-wise, or anything else… and yes, go to “what some people might call extremes”… if we screw up and have to make it right. We also have internal reporting frameworks and procedures, to do everything in our power to try to make sure we don’t make the same mistake twice.
Seriously, all of our customers get the same level of priority, regardless of order size, customer size, how long you’ve been a customer, or etc. We value relationships holistically, and enjoy growing our professional networks even amongst companies and groups we don’t service at all (or expect to, in the foreseeable future)!
