It’s 7:00 a.m. on Staff Meeting day. The CORECHEM team has assembled, and the remote employees have joined via Teams. Mr. Jon is in the kitchen, making breakfast. Our CEO, Wesley Sherrod, gets us started.
The first order of business? Reviewing the guiding principles and values of CORECHEM.
At CORECHEM, our values aren’t just words posted on a wall (to be ignored by all). At staff meetings, at team day, at employee quarterly discussions… over and over and over again, they come up for discussion, and we talk about them. We review them. How are we doing? How is each employee performing with each value? What do we need to do to be better? How do we correct any issues we’re having?
That’s why, at our CORE is… you guessed it, a culture you can count on.
Here are the values we review at the beginning of every Staff Meeting:
Customer First: Unwavering commitment. Serves passionately; will do anything in my power to help the customer without compromising our other values.
Trustworthy: Worthy of team member and customer trust. Do what we say. We extend trust to others by communicating mutual expectations.
Positively Accept Adjustment: Gives and receives feedback. Healthy communication. Open to change. Empathetic.
Safety: Conscious of what I’m doing. Aware of your surroundings. Aware of what could go wrong. Safety mindset.
Get the Right Stuff Done: Calculated sense of urgency. Training- remember our training, both formal and informal. Share knowledge with others. Focused on details that are my responsibility.
(…Oh, and enjoy the footage of the Kahoot game we played at our recent Team Day!)
